Deirdre Stubbs BSc (Hons), DO (Hons), MSCCO
As a Cheshire based Registered Osteopath with 43 years experience with adults and children, I now focus on paediatric treatments using cranial osteopathy as well as treatment of women who are either pregnant or in the 12 months following the birth. .
I'm registered with the General Osteopathic Council and, since qualifying as an osteopath in 1983, I've developed a particular interest in using the gentle, subtle and effective technique of Cranial Osteopathy to treat individuals including the very youngest babies (see Babies and Children). With older children and adults, my treatment approach may include other osteopathic techniques such as soft tissue massage and joint articulation combined with postural and exercise advice tailored to the individual.
My aim is to understand the sequence of events which has led to the development of symptoms to support you/your child back to health. Following a detailed case history and examination, individual diagnosis is made and treatment, using a highly developed sense of touch, is given to gently restore normal movement and function and guide the patient's body to a state of mechanical balance and improved health.
If you would like to know whether your own or your baby or child's particular condition is suitable for osteopathic treatment please contact me.

My osteopathy practice is a mile from the centre of Chester and within easy reach of Cheshire, the Wirral and North Wales. Parking is available on the road outside my property. Bache train station and buses on Liverpool Road are nearby.
I maintain good relationships with local doctors, health visitors and midwives as well as complementary health practitioners and, with your consent, may refer back to to the GP or to other health care providers if necessary.
Infectious illness- Health and Safety
Masks are no longer required to be worn by osteopath or patient but I'll happily wear a mask if you wish me to.
I'm continuing to send out a brief Infection Form before the appointment to protect other patients and myself.
